Takii Spain is a subsidiary of Takii Europe and is situated in three locations: Almeria, Murcia and Castilla La Mancha. Its main activities are sales and breeding. At present, we are setting up a new breeding location in Murcia (mainly for melons). For this new breeding station in Murcia, we are looking for an enthusiastic, fulltime:
Under the supervision of the Station manager of Takii Spain, you will be responsible for leading and participating in the implementation of all relevant working activities for our new site. You will be involved in setting up the breeding activities as well as being responsible for ordering new tools and materials, hiring (temporary) workers, keeping up with local legislation; giving advice about the use of the greenhouses and fields; ensuring the execution of all cultivation activities and managing and taking care of facilities such as greenhouses, machines, equipment and vehicles and reporting to the Station Manager TSP or R&D manager on topics such as daily work, costs and expenses.
We expect you to have a minimum level of secondary study (agricultural) or a bachelor’s degree in plant breeding or a related field. You have some experience in running field trials. You are an easy communicator and you handle stress well in different circumstances. For this function, it is necessary that you are fluent in Spanish and English, both written and orally. You love to work both individually and with a team. You are accurate, well organised, flexible, and driven.
