Rootstock: a good base

Grafting fruity vegetable crops has become an increasingly common practice worldwide. With increasing restrictions on the use of chemicals, rootstocks remain a natural and effective way to avoid soil pathogens. In addition, rootstocks give the scion a stronger root system and plant strength, which means that it remains healthy and productive for longer and under more difficult conditions. We as Takii can confidently offer our wide range of rootstock varieties for all types of fruity vegetable crops.

Carrot: high quality, high yield and uniformity in shape and size

There are different types of carrots popular in different parts of the world. This differentiation is because of adaptability to local growing conditions, consumer traditions and habits and growing technology. To respond to the market needs across the world we, at Takii, have our own breeding directions with Kuroda and Kuroda-Chanteney types and with Kuroda-Nantes and Nantes (+ Kuroda). We focus on high quality, high yield, uniformity in shape and size and low mechanical loss.

Takii is proud to present its full range of cabbage varieties. From early to late maturing, flat to round, fresh market to processing and with various resistance levels. Suitable for different growing conditions throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Onion: unique Japanese genetics

We offer a wide range and different types of onions, namely overwintering, early long day, long day and Rijnsburger varieties.

Takii has a special developing program of tomato for southern Europe, with many different tomato types in the main producing areas. Our focus is the quality, yield and new resistances in order to face the next challenges of the future in terms of new virusses and diseases. To ensure that our producers and costumers experience the highest quality and the most profitability.

Cucumber: produced all around the world

Cucumbers are one of the most popular members of the Cucurbitaceae family. They are produced all around the world and are considered an annual crop. The varieties are generally classified as either pickling or slicing cucumbers. The cucumber originates from South Asia, but now grows on most continents. Once they were a seasonal crop with a single crop per year, but nowadays you’ll find that per year several crops grow in many areas.
